I purchased this system in September of 2015. I live in an area in the south that has terrible city water. They actually just recently found the brain eating amoeba in the water not too far from where I live. I bought this system to protect my family as it filters down to 0.0001 micron. If you need to know what this means Google Particle Sizes and look for an engineering toolbox. Ill paste the link here in the review, but I think they were removed so here goes: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/particle-sizes-d_934.html. Anyways, bottom line, the RO filter removes everything including viruses. To verify the filters effectiveness, I used a TDM meter. I tested my tap-water and it came out at around 115 ppm and then I tested the RO water at it was 7 ppm. An amazing difference. The biggest change I noticed in the water is that it tastes smooth; I dont know how else to describe it, but my tap water was harsh and had an aftertaste in my nose (probably from the chlorine) - not anymore. Installation was about as easy as I could expect. Im a fairly large guy and it was a pain contorting myself under the sink, but that isnt this products fault. It took me several hours to install and the directions were better than most directions. There is a lot of support out there for you if you need help with this. There is even a youtube video that I didnt even need. One word of caution! The quick disconnect fittings must be pushed in FIRMLY. When you first insert the hose into the fitting it will stop - so you may think it is in all the way, but it isnt. Push again a little harder and it will pop in a little bit more. Then you know you will have it. I had several leaks until I realized what I had done wrong. The parts are plastic so I understand the fear of pushing too hard on things, but you really need to make sure you put the water lines all the way in or they will leak. Once I got them installed correctly I had no leaks. You wont be sorry you got this...
