Features of ispring WSP System
iSpring WSP is made up of high quality material

High-quality Materials

WSP Series utilizes 316L food-grade stainless steel and has passed the explosion-proof test over 500 psi pressure and the water hammer test over 100,000 times.

Ispring WSP is best pre filter

Prolong Service Lives of Your Appliances

WSP Series is your reliable choice of pre-filters. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners, water filtration, and expensive appliances.

iSpring WSP is easy to install

Easy Installation and Maintenance

The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount, and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form a hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush, and/or soak it in vinegar.

Choose the Appropriate Microns of Filters for Your House

iSpring wsp comes in different micron sizes

The WSP spin-down sediment filter comes with a variety of options in micron size. Smaller microns allow less through, but to get most life and efficiency out of your filters it’s important to only go as small as you need. Differences in water quality and your water pressure affect the performance of the WSP. Please avoid the mistake of using 'fine' filters for 'rough' water and causing the filters to clog sooner than expected. Use multi-stage filters to achieve one of the best filtering results and longer cartridge life.

I had a question regarding my product and called company and they were very helpful. A big thank you to Nick!

Five years ago I put a 20 isprings filter system in with the spin filter in front of it. This past summer I had a pressure issue. I changed the 3 elements and when I called and talked to Sean he suggested I look at the spin filter. When I sent him a picture of it he also noticed iron bacteria. I have now change the spin filter element and put tablets in my well. Thanks to Sean for diagnosing my issues and getting my water pressure back.

Excellent customer service

I was cleaning the filter on my WSP and accidentally cracked the housing. I called the company and they were able to replace it under warranty to get things flowing again. Nick was very clear about what I needed to submit for this and even sent my package priority mail. Thank you SO SO much! I've never been so happy to clean bathrooms LOL

Very effective and well designed

I installed a 100 and a 50 micron filter to me well system ahead of my black sand filter to catch iron particles to help prolong the life of the black sand filter and they work great and so easy to clean out.

water filter system

I've been very impressed with my iSpring water filtration system. We have well water with a lot of iron so keeping sediment under control is a constant challenge. The system has done an excellent job and I've noticed a significant improvement in our water quality. What really stood out though was iSpring's customer service. Nick from the sales team went above and beyond by sending me a complimentary replacement screen for my spin-down filter not just once but twice. That level of support is hard to find these days and shows they truly stand behind their products. If you have well water with heavy iron or sediment I highly recommend the iSpring system and the people behind it.

Great Pre-Sediment Filter to pair with whole home filter

Let me start off by saying I very rarely leave product reviews. I spent a lot of time researching water systems for my home. I ultimately came across iSpring products. I reached out to them back in November and provided a water analysis report I had conducted on my well water. They suggested the WGB32B-MKS based on the findings of that report. I ultimately selected this product and paired it with their pre-sediment spin down filter (WSP50).During install I messed up and forget which filter was which (stage 2 stage 3). The stage 2 and 3 filters are identical in shape and color. There are no markings on the filter displaying what they filter or a model number (That is one suggestion I do have.) I called iSpring's customer support and they quickly gave me a solution. The stage 3 filter weighs more. I was able to quickly identify the filter and fixed my issue. I cannot remember who I spoke with but they were VERY helpful. I installed the product in February 2026. Within 3 weeks I started having water pressure issues in my home. A faucet would slow to a trickle when I flushed a toilet or opened another faucet. I called iSpring again and spoke to Nick. He quickly was able to identify the issue. My spin down filter was completely clogged. I investigated stage 1 (sediment) filter and noticed this same level of debris in the filter. This is a not a iSpring product issue but a well water source issue. My water supply has a lot of clay/mud/iron debris essentially. Nick spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me to help me come up with a plan of action. Currently the WSP50 spin down pre filter is a 50 micron system. The sediment filter on WGB32B-MKS is 5 micron. Based on his recommendation I am installing a iSpring HB28B which is another single 20x4.5 housing. I am pairing it with an additional sediment filter. This time I am going 20 micron (iSpring FP25BX2) Nick quickly dispatched a new set of filters for my WGB32B-MKS 3 stage system which I highly appreciated. As well as a new pre-sediment filter micron screen (Changed to a 100 micron over the stock 50 micron) This support alone makes me HIGHLY recommend iSpring for your water filtration system. Finding good customer support (iSpring is U.S based) is extremely difficult today.

iSpring WSP-100

I purchased this iSpring WSP-100 spin down filter from Home Depot based on a conversation I had with Nick at iSpring and his recommendation of the best solution to remove some sediment I was seeing from my well system. I installed this filter in front of a whole house filter with a carbon filter and so far is working very well in catching the small particles we were seeing. I flush it once per week for a short period as recommended and so far I am very pleased. Thanks so much for the guidance Nick! Works very well as intended!

Good product good customer service

This filter is great. I have a private well and started with 100 micron. It clogged too quickly so I bypassed it. When I reached out to iSpring a year and a half later Iris helped me get set up with a 200 micron cartridge which is clearing up my water much better. Iris was prompt and sent me the new cartridge within a day. Product is easy to set up and maintain and still allows full pressure through the system.

pressure problem

We put this in our new cabin (50 microns)and had initial clogging and loss of pressure. Spoke to Sean at ispring and he suggested we try a more porous filter and sent me a 100 micron and 200 micron-no charge. We put in the 100 and now have good flow. Hopefully problem is solved.

Great products great customer support! I wanted to extend the time between whole home filter changing and discovered iSpring filters. Their self purging filter system was just what I needed. Michele in customer service took the time to listen to my needs and advised me which system to buy. She even followed-up to make sure I was happy which in today's world is unheard of. Thank you Michael and iSpring!

My filter was over 5 years old and starting to restrict water. I could not remember what courseness I had so I went with one that was pretty course. As soon as I got it I realized this would let sand in and not what I wanted.I ordered another and when I recieved it I asked for the other to be returned. Francis quickly responded and refunded me for the first one. Both came very quickly and I was happy with these replacements.

This is my 2nd purchase of this very fine product. It is everything they say it is ... easy to install compact and effective. I moved 9 months ago and one of the 1st things I did was replace the preliminary filtration system with this nifty little unit. I also received stellar post-purchase customer service from Don who was extremely helpful & attentive to my issue/question ...

FAQs

Is a sediment filter necessary?

Spin down filters are generally recommended for use with well water or if you have high amounts of sediment. City water or Municipal water sources usually do not have high levels of residue but can have sediment issues; it depends on the quality of the source water and sediment that needs to be removed from the source water.

Can water filters be cleaned and reused?

Yes. iSpring WSP Spin Down Sediment Filters can be flushed, cleaned, and reused.

How do you filter sediment out of water?

The best solution will be installing a sediment filter.

Which is better 5 micron or 20 micron?

It depends on the amount of sediment in your water. 5-micron is a finer filtration than 20-micron, but it is also easier to get clogged.

What will a 1 micron water filter remove?

nan

What is the best sediment filter for a well?

iSpring spin-down filters are generally recommended for use with well water because they are flushable, reusable, and have various & larger microns, so they would be less likely to get clogged by the sediments from the well.

Which is better 1 micron or 5 micron filter?

nan

Who makes iSpring water filters?

nan

Is a 10 micron filter better than 5 micron?

nan

What micron filter is best for well water? / What size spin down filter do I need? / How do I know which size cartridge to order? 50, 100, 200, 1000 micron? / How many microns should my water filter be?

The size cartridge you’ll need depends on the size and the amount of sediment it will have to treat. The smaller sizes will remove the most residue, but excess or large particles can clog them quickly and require frequent flushing. If you notice that you need frequent flushing, consider using a larger size screen and using additional treatment after the sediment filter to catch the fine particles.

Is a 5 micron water filter good?

nan

Do I need a sediment filter?

If you are on well water, then mostly, yes. If you are on city or municipal water sources, you can check if there are any contaminants in your water from the EPA website: https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/.

How does a spin down sediment filter work?

The iSpring WSP spin-down sediment filter is the first line of defense for your plumbing system, faucets, and appliances. Removing dirt, sand, and rust particles protects and extends the life of your standard filters. It also prevents the faucets from being damaged by “grinding.” Statistics show that it saves up to 20% of water consumption from being wasted by “dripping faucets” in commercial and public buildings.

Should I expect a water pressure (psi) reduction by using a WSP sediment filter? If so, what pressure % drop have you experienced?

You shouldn't notice any loss of water pressure immediately after installing the filter. However, if you allow sediment to collect on the screen without regular flushing, this could cause your pressure to drop.

Is this only supposed to be use in conjunction with a water softener?

nan

Is the clear housing glass or plastic?

High impact plastic, BPA free and weatherproof.

How is it compared to Rusco spin down filter, this one seems of higher quality, does it work better?

nan

Is the brass lead free?

Yes, it's lead-free brass.

Is the plastic part bpa free? What kind of plastic is it?

The plastic portion of this unit is made from PCTG, and it is BPA-free. For more details, please contact us at (678)261-7611

Is there a mounting bracket available for WSP spin down filter?

Yes. A mounting bracket should be included in the product package. If it's missing, please feel free to contact us.

This spin-down filter is generally recommended for use with well water or if you have high amounts of sediment. City water or Municipal water sources usually do not have high levels of residue but can have sediment issues; it depends on the quality of the source water and if there is sediment that needs to be removed from the source water.

50-micron is a finer mesh screen than 1000-micron by a factor of 20 times.

Is WSP spin-down sediment filter only supposed to be used in conjunction with a water softener?

No, you can use it without a softener. It doesn't soften; it just removes dirt/sediment. If you use it with a softener, it should be placed before the softener to protect the softener and extend its lifespan.

You can rinse the screen by spraying water and, if necessary, a soft brush.

Can you use a WSP sediment filter with hot water? If so, how hot?

This filter is recommended to be installed before the water heater as hot water can damage it.

If I order one size, is it possible to use the cartridge from one of the other sizes available if I want to swap later?

All of the spin-down filter cartridges use the same housing, so the cartridges themselves are completely interchangeable if you need to swap to a different size.

Could I connect this spin down water filter permanently to a drain so that I don't have to regularly flush it?

No, if you open the bottom valve permanently, the unit loses pressure, and all of the water goes to the drain.

Can this WSP sediment water filter be installed and used outdoors?

You can install it outdoors but make sure it is NOT exposed to direct sunlight or freezing temperatures.
