Installation
Do I still need a water softener if my water is hard?
Yes. Our WGB32B whole house water filter system does not reduce hardness. It is recommended to install a water softener, such as the iSpring WCS45KG model, before this system if your TDS level is above 300 ppm.
What contaminants can this system remove?
Turbidity, visible particulate matter, sand, silt, dirt, rust, chlorine, taste, odor, THMs, VOCs, chemicals, and more.
Can I install this system outdoors?
Install indoors in a well-ventilated area, shielded from wind and rain, away from direct sunlight and heat. Consider water leakage protection. For outdoor installation, ensure insulation for frost, sun, and waterproofing for both unit and pipes.
Can I use this system if my water flow is from left to right?
Yes, you can. However, please note that the inlet/outlet marking on the system is fixed, so you will need to flip the machine head to accommodate this setup. To do this, simply unscrew the screws on the machine head and flip it.

Expensive? Yes - but worth it!

I bought and installed this for my home 8 years ago. It is a great system. We are on city water and every year when we replace the filters I am amazed at how much grime has been captured! For several years I had the sediment and carbon combo. Last year I switched to the sediment+carbon+scale filter combo. When I had a canister crack four years ago Nick in sales promptly expressed me a replacement canister at no charge. Since then they have updated the system so when another old canister failed last week Nick couldn't guarantee the new canister would fit properly so he expressed me a whole new filter system - again free of charge! The customer service is amazing and while it is an expensive system consider it an investment - it's worth it!!!

Great product backed by great customer service

I purchased this when I moved into my new home May 2024. In May 2026 one of the chambers burst and I reached out to customer service for help and spoke with Sean and Jonathan. They were both very knowledgeable of the system and I really appreciated how calm and friendly they were as I was a panicky mess. I emailed Sean pictures of the damage and not only did he send me a replacement head unit he also explained WHY this happened and suggested I check my water pressure and install my own regulator instead of relying on the water company. Turns out he was 100% correct the water pressure coming into my home from the utility company was over twice what the plumber recommended so I got the pressure regulator installed and all is well. Thanks to Sean I was able to get ahead of future plumbing problems because of that water pressure. And since I had to use unfiltered water while I waited on the plumber to repair I realized how absolutely horrible the water is here. I could smell the chlorine coming out of the tap I had to use bottled water because drinking and cooking with it was not an option. If you're trying to decide on a filter iSpring is the way to go.

Great product to catch all the junk the city water is not suppose to be sending into your house!

I have been running this system for a couple of years now in a 2 unit apartment house on city water. Annual consumption with 7 college students is about 66000 and I still typical only need to change the filters annually. However after 3 months of use the tenants reported loss of pressure. Highly unusual for that short of interval but upon checking the sediment screen found lots of contamination. When I pulled the paper sediment filter I was shocked to see it covered with a gooey layer of rust looking contamination. Turns out the town water lines have been under construction multiple blocks away throughout the fall semester and everything agitated has come into the near by properties. So glad I installed the system and kept all that crap out of the drinking water water heater and plumbing screens. I am currently shopping for a system for my personal property on well water and will install an iSpring filter here as well. Thanks for a great product. Well done!

Excellent System Superb Customer Service No More Bottled Waters!

I bought an iSpring whole house water 3 stage filter about 3 years ago. The filter works perfectly and we love the system. My water quality and taste is excellent and the system was definitely worth it since my family drinks tons of water. The system has been going strong for 3 years now but one of my canisters developed a small pinhole sized leak. I reached out to iSpring and spoke with Sean. He was super helpful and was able to send out a replacement as soon as possible. I installed the replacement and am back up and running. It is this level of customer service and product quality that sets apart iSpring from other companies. Don't go elsewhere buy from iSpring! You won't be disappointed! Thank you Sean!!!

I purchased my iSpring WGB32B Series Heavy Duty Whole House Water Filtration System about four years ago, and I recently had an unexpected problem with the system.

I contacted iSpring Water Systems to explain what had happened, and this is where I was truly impressed.

Sean, the customer service representative who helped me, was extremely kind, professional, patient, and attentive. He took the time to understand my situation and, to my surprise, iSpring sent me a replacement base and new filter cartridges at no cost to me.

After owning the system for approximately four years, I really appreciated the way iSpring stood behind its product and, most importantly, the way Sean treated me as a customer.

Things can happen with any product over time, but what really shows the quality of a company is how they respond when a customer has a problem. In my experience, iSpring went above and beyond what I expected.

I want to personally thank Sean for his excellent customer service and iSpring Water Systems for taking care of me. This experience has given me even more confidence in the company and its commitment to its customers.

Thank you, Sean and iSpring, for your outstanding customer service!

Excellent customer service excellent product

The Whole House filtration system works great! However what makes any company great is the support after the sale. iSpring has two of the best customer service representatives of any company in the marketplace. I am talking about Nick and John who are both excellent! They epitomize service after the sale! They have excellent customer service skills and you cannot ask for better or more accommodating help. I have had situations where they exceeded my expectations and they do so with great attitudes. They know their products well and they love their customers always eager to help. It shows every time you contact them. I highly recommend Nick and John whenever you have need to contact iSpring for service after the sale.

Excellent Customer Service. Nick is awesome

I bought this because Lincoln County water is so bad. This makes our water taste better than bottled. Our water company also shuts off water so often the past 2 years that after the pressure spikes when it turns on it resulted in 2 ruptured housings. Nick from customer service immediately sent replacements at no cost stating that he stands by this product. Nick really makes this company great. Especially because we truly need these filter. Great company. Great product. Excellent customer service. I should note that we had no problems whatsoever for about 5 years until recently. It's definitely the water company

Best customer service in the biz (Product is pretty great too)

Have had our iSpring filtration system for a little over 7 years now. It's been great zero hassle and our water tastes and smells very noticeably cleaner. Recently had a problem with the cartridge housing and I reported it to Nick in tech support not because I thought I was owed anything after so long but just to let them know and order the replacement part. Have never experienced such a high level of support. So thrilled to know that an important part like this is backed by such a stand-up company. Thanks Nick!

I purchased a new house in 2020. We immediately noticed a strong chlorine smell and taste. I did some research and decided to install a I Spring WGB21B. We immediately noticed huge improvement . After a few days of regular use our problem was completely solved. Our water bills are minimum every month so I only have changed the filers about every 9 months . Each time I changed them I noticed I was having to tighten them harder to stop the drip. I checked the water pressure and it had climbed to 83 psi. On Wednesday of last week i changed the filters and had to use extreme effort to stop the drip. In doing so I heard a snap and the housing had cracked where the water line enter the housing. I called retail stores and plumbing supply houses and they didn't offer any parts. Then I checked the internet and found the ISpring had a location 15 miles from my house. I tried to call but all I got was a machine. In desperation I drove there . Only to find the doors locked. I was walking away when when a young lady opened the door and asked if she could help me. I told her i was looking to purchase a part that I had broken. She politely invited me in and asked me to wait while she wnt to get someone from Customer Support. In a minute Sean greated me and asked what part I was looking for. I had my original receipts so he could identify what I had . He then told me they no longer had the model. Seems they had replaced it with new and improved model. My original bowls wouldn't fit the new design. At that point I had decided to just purchase a new one. Sean suggested that I email customer support email the receipts to them. I told him I needed to do something because I had my water turned off. He then said he would see what he could do. I told him I Spring is not at fault they have been greatThe addition water pressure and compressed O ring required extra torque the caused the breakage. He when back and came out with a new replacement housing and two new bowels. He was pretty sure the new design would require the different bowels. He told me I Spring was going to handle this under warranty. I told him I wasn't expecting that but was pleasantly grateful. That enabled me to get my system back up and running that day. That was a blessing in itself. The new design has double O rings and a beefier design. I installed a new pressure reducing valve and now have it at 55 psi. I was already reccommending I Spring systems. Your customer sevice is way above and beyond exspectations and Sean repressents your company with professionalism and integrity Thank you very much Don

Great product great service!!

Reviewed in the United States on April 10 2026Style: Heavy MetalsPattern Name: ProVerified PurchaseThis is an amazing product for a very reasonable price. I had an issue with a lot of noise in the pipes after it was installed and Sean from the support team was amazing to work with in resolving the problem. It turns out that a pressure valve which my plumber had installed a few years ago was causing the noise. Once the plumber replaced it with a new one the issue was solved.I can't say enough good things about Sean and the support team for how generous and helpful he was.

Works great

I bought the ispring WGB32B for a weekend cabin to replace a tank due to hard water. I didnt have enough room for a softener and tank and the ispring system fit perfectly.Unfortunately it froze this winter (my fault) and damaged some parts. Nick from support was able to help and sent the parts free of charge. Thanks Nick.

Great customer service

We purchased a lake home in September which had this system in. I was going to change the filters out but the housing unit was screwed on to tight. So I gave the support team a call. I talked to Michele who was very good at giving me direction on how to take the housing off. I was still not able to get the housings off. No luck in getting a plumber. Two weeks later she called me to ask how it was going. I ended calling back and talked to Sean he sent me out two longer wrenchs which worked. I am so impressed with the customer service that I got from Michele and Sean. They went above and beyond to help me. THANK YOU!!!

I purchased my whole house filter system 4 years ago and couldn't be happier with it. It has one quirk but not serious. I replace filters every 18 or so months and the experience is always painless. This time I dealt with a customer service rep Sean who was very helpful as I always make the same mistake and have to try to fix it. The system uses O-rings to seal the canister to the housing to prevent leakage (here's the quirk) which are effective but must be TIGHTENED ALOT. I always forget to get the O-rings to replace with the new filter elements. If you don't use new O-rings and TIGHTEN ALOT the canisters leak. Not badly but an occasional drip that never quits unless you TIGHTEN ALOT. When completed the system does everything it claims and the support (thank you Sean) is top-notch. I would recommend the WGB-32B to anyone looking for a whole house filter system. Maybe the engineers will update the design to fix the O-ring problem.

FAQs

Does WGB32B whole house water filter system address TDS reduction?

No, it doesn't. Only RO systems will lower TDS levels. You can find our best Reverse Osmosis system here.

What is the difference between 10 inch whole house filter and 20 inch whole house system?

The main difference is the capacity of the cartridges. The WGB21B 10'' inch home water purification system has 10'' X 4.5'' cartridges that feature 50,000 gallons of water capacity, while the 20'' whole house cartridges feature around 100,000 gallons of water capacity. The average American household water consumption is approximately 300 gallons per day. Therefore, the cartridges inside of the WGB21B would last 50,000/300=166 days (Around 6 months) on average. If your family consumes more water than 300 gallons per day, you may need a 20'' whole house system to fulfill your needs. You may need to look at your water bill to figure out how much water your family consumes monthly.

Will WGB32B whole house water filtration system decrease water pressure to the house?

It should not. If you experience significant pressure loss, please let us know.

What are the water pressure requirements for the WGB32B residential water treatment systems to work?

The feed water pressure needs to be between 25 psi and 80 psi.

Is this domestic water purification system suitable for well water?

This whole house water purification system can filter both city water and well water. However, it doesn't filter out viruses and bacteria. For well water, a whole house UV stage (#UVF55FS) is recommended.

Will the WGB32B whole home water systems help with high sediment in well water?

It will help, but depending on how much sediment you have, it may exhaust the filters quickly and cause you to replace the filter frequently. In this case, you may want to look into purchasing a spin-down sediment pre-filter (e.g., WSP50). It will help trap more sediment and extend the life of your other filters.

Does WGB32B home water filtration system work on hot water?

No, we do not recommend installing a water filter for home to filter hot water as the high temperature can damage the carbon block filter. The operating temperature for the whole house system is 40 - 100°F.

Does this water filter system for home filter fluoride?

This whole home water filter system does not remove fluoride. You will need a Reverse Osmosis system to remove fluoride. You can find our best Reverse Osmosis system here.

Does WGB32B home water treatment system filter calcium for hard water?

No. You need a water softener to filter out calcium. Please check out iSpring WCS45KG whole house water softener here.

Does this whole house water system reduce Chlorine?

Yes, the CTO carbon block filters remove chlorine, cloudiness, odor, taste, and other contaminants.

Will the WGB32B water purifier for home remove the hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs) smell?

Yes, but it might shorten the filter life. If there is a strong rotten egg smell in your water, we recommend installing WGB32B-KS or WF150K whole house filtration systems instead.

Does the WGB32B home water system remove iron, lead, and other heavy metals?

The whole house filter system WGB32B is designed for water issues with contaminants that create foul tastes, stains, and odors. Please check out WGB32BM, WGB32B-PB, and WGB32B-KS for removing pollutants such as iron, lead, manganese, and other metals or heavy metals.

Is WGB32B whole home water filtration system a water softener?

No. If you need a water softener or saltless water descaler, please check out here.

Is the flow left to right, right to left, or can it go either way?

Right to left, but you could switch the bracket to change direction.

Can this water filter be installed on the exterior of a house? My house has no basement or crawl space, just a concrete slab.

We would not recommend installing the system outdoors or anywhere where the system would be exposed to the elements, such as freezing temperatures, UV damage, and other forces of nature.

Where do I install the system?

You should install where the main water line comes into the house before it splits to the water heater or other plumbing.

Will WGB32B home water purification systems \"easy\" to install? I am not a plumber, and it's so difficult to find one.

You can install the home water purification systems by yourself if you have some plumbing knowledge.

Will the inlet and outlet accept threaded PVC couplings?

Yes. As long as they are 1\" threads, it will work.

Do I need a storage tank for this whole home water filtration system?

Our whole house water filtration systems have a large water flow capacity and do not require a storage tank.

In what order do the replacement filters go?

For WGB32B, the water flow goes to the polypropylene (PP) filter first, then the carbon block (CTO) filters.

Do all filters need to be changed at the same time?

No, they don't.

What size O-ring does WGB32B home filtration system use?

O.D.: 5-3/4\", the model number of this O-ring from iSpring is ORBX2.

How often do I need to replace the cartridges?

It depends on the quality of your feed water. Typically, for a standard American household, the filters can last around one full year. If you notice the output water pressure drops significantly, it is time to replace the filter cartridges.

Why did my output water pressure drop a lot?

If this water cleaning system was just installed, it could be that the filters were installed incorrectly, or a piece of the plastic wrapping is still protecting the filter cartridges. If you installed the filter a few weeks ago and suddenly the pressure dropped, it can be due to clogged filters.
