Specially designed to remove Fe and Mn
Enjoy clean water from every faucet at home. iSpring WCFM400K removes iron and manganese from your water efficiently and effectively. The system uses air injection with advanced catalytic media to remove iron and manganese from the water. During the backwash process, the system introduces fresh air into the top of the tank. As the water passes through the pocket, it is infused with the oxygen in the fresh air, and the advanced catalytic media is a catalyst between the iron, manganese, and the air. The oxidation process is almost instantaneous; the iron and manganese precipitate and are trapped by the media bed. The system's electronic control valve automatically backwashes the system to clean the filter media and flush the precipitated iron and manganese down to the drain.
The filter media inside of the WCFM400K acts as an insoluble catalyst to enhance the reaction between dissolved oxygen (D.O.) and iron compounds. The dissolved iron is usually in the ferrous bicarbonate state in ground waters due to exceeding free carbon dioxide and is not filterable. The filter media, acting as a catalyst between the oxygen and the soluble iron compounds, enhances the oxidation reaction of Fe2 to Fe3 and produces ferric hydroxide, which precipitates and may be easily filtered. The media is not consumed in the iron removal operation and therefore offers a tremendous economic advantage over many other iron removal methods.

Please Note
- This unit is not a water softener and It will NOT reduce hardness. If your water is very hard, please let us know.
- Unlike an RO system, this system will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and instead keeps healthy minerals in your water. If you are interested in a filter that removes TDS, also consider our iSpring Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems for additional protection.
- We recommend installing this system before a water softener if applicable.

I originally bought the WCFM500K to handle the 6.14 PPM of Iron and .256 of Manganese in my well water. I switched from the 3 stage 20 Ispring filters. My water had no Sulpher so the filter was overcorrecting the PH likely due to my water having a TDS of 150. It was too aggressive for my water chemistry and cause PH spikes in the High 9-10��s even after 6 weeks when the media was fully broke in. I called and spoke to John. He talked to his production folks and they recommended the 400 instead. I was sent the 400 as a replacement and it was the answer I was looking for. After 2 weeks PH is down to 8.6 and is not broke in yet so it will lower even more. My water is clear and no longer has that metallic taste or smell. John was awesome to work with and what company can match their basically no questions asked guarantee. The 500 was too strong so they sent the 400 as a replacement and even covered shipping. I am very happy with their products overall I also use their RO under counter system and have a Spin Down Sediment filter. They actually care about their customers and they will make it right if what you buy does not work as expected. They stand behind their products. I will be a lifelong customer! This 400 filter is absolutely awesome being there is no maintenance just set and forget as they say!
After replumbing most of a house to get this in the available space, I had an issue with not getting the inbound water valve to open. After talking to Robert in support, we agreed to try a wrench. Now, Robert is sending me a new part free of charge and will be available to walk me through the swap.

We were desperate for water to shower with a f be able to drink. We're directed by a friend at Lowe's to your system and it is wonderful. Showers are smooth and no rust/iron at all. Drinking water is pure and no iron taste or discoloration left. We had an issue with our unit and Robert handled our replacement he asked questions and had us back in working order in a few days was so polite and helpful.
