Installation
Does this system soften water?
No. The WGB32B-DS whole house water filter prevents scale buildup and protects pipes and appliances from corrosion. It does not remove calcium or magnesium, so water hardness remains unchanged. For softening, see iSpring WCS45KG
What contaminants can this system remove?
Turbidity, visible particulate matter, sand, silt, dirt, rust, chlorine, taste, odor, THMs, VOCs, chemicals, herbicides, scale, and corrosion
Can I install this system outdoors?
Install indoors in a well-ventilated area, shielded from wind and rain, away from direct sunlight and heat. Consider water leakage protection. For outdoor installation, ensure insulation for frost, sun, and waterproofing for both unit and pipes.
Can I use this system if my water flow is from left to right?
Yes, you can. However, please note that the inlet/outlet marking on the system is fixed, so you will need to flip the machine head to accommodate this setup. To do this, simply unscrew the screws on the machine head and flip it.

No More Scale No More Taste: A Deep-Dive First Look at the iSpring WGB32B-DS Whole-House Filter S...

A note before we begin: This is part one of a two-part review. This first part covers my initial experience with the system. Part two will follow after three to six months of use once I've had more time to put it through its paces.I live in central Florida and get my water from the city. For years my family and I had been drinking filtered water through our refrigerator with the exception of cooking. When my parents moved into the same community they quickly started complaining about the taste even from the fridge filter about how the water felt on their skin and about the scaling that was building up all over their home. Their frustration pushed me to start looking into whole-house filtration systems. The first quotes I received were from companies that send out salespeople and the prices ranged from $5000 to $10000. That wasn't going to work. So I did my own research and discovered a category of systems that use non-salt filtration the type I'm reviewing here. After comparing several companies I narrowed it down to the top three and ultimately chose iSpring based on their pricing warranty offerings product variety and the reputation of their customer support.Once I committed to the brand I had to choose the right system. Because my water comes from a city treatment plant most sediment is already filtered out bacteria is treated and various additives are introduced. What the city doesn't address however is the mineral content responsible for hard water and scaling and that was evident throughout my home in the sinks showers kitchen and even my kettle. I settled on the WGB32B-DS Whole House Water Filter System which combines sediment filtration a polyphosphate anti-scale filter and a carbon block filter. It addressed exactly what I needed: removing residual sediment reducing chlorine and other chemicals and preventing future scale buildup. The system arrived in three days well-packaged with no damage. It has some weight to it all three filter housings and the mounting hardware ship together in one box but the instructions were clear and well-organized. For any step where extra guidance was needed QR codes throughout the manual link directly to their video library with step-by-step walkthroughs. Installation went smoothly. I made sure to shut off the water supply to and from my water heater before starting and only opened it back up after completing the initial system flush and running the water for a few additional minutes to purge any trapped air from the heater.During the flush I got a sense of the system's limits: running six sinks at full blast simultaneously and one shower brought water pressure down to nearly nothing a trickle at the faucets and drops from the showerhead. That scenario will never happen in a four-person household but it's good to know where the limit is.Now after a week of operation I have nothing negative to report. The improvement in taste was noticeable within just a few hours. The anti-scale filter took about a day to show a visible difference. Within a few days I stopped seeing scale deposits when boiling water in the kettle. Dishes coming out of the dishwasher had significantly less white spotting and my wife's skillet and air fryer parts which used to come out coated in hard water residue came out clean. The most telling moment came when my wife filled her Stanley cup with our filtered water to take with her to a school event and commented that the water had no taste at all compared to what was available at the school. That's exactly what you want to hear. Before moving on I want to clarify something important for anyone considering this type of system. Anti-scale filters do not remove calcium and magnesium from your water. The water will still feel essentially the same you won't get that slippery soap still on you sensation that comes from a traditional water softener. What the anti-scale filter does is coat those hard minerals with protective crystals so they no longer adhere to surfaces like pipes faucets showerheads and appliances. If you want the full softening experience you'll need a salt-based softener system. But if your goal is to protect your plumbing and appliances from scale buildup without dealing with salt this type of system delivers.Registering the warranty was straightforward. I visited the iSpring website after installation to claim their free three-year warranty extension. I opened a support ticket and heard back within a day or two with simple instructions: submit proof of purchase and a photo of the warranty card. Within a week everything was registered. As of today (April 8 2026) the one thing that gave me pause was noticing that my kettle water becomes very cloudy when boiled and leaves a white sediment on the bottom once it cools and settles. I called iSpring to ask about it and spoke with a representative named Sean who was excellent. He explained that this is completely normal the anti-scale filter coats the calcium particles...

FAQs

Will WGB32B-DS whole house water filtration system decrease water pressure to the house?

It should not. If you experience significant pressure loss, please let us know.

What are the water pressure requirements for the WGB32B-DS residential water treatment systems to work?

The feed water pressure needs to be between 25 psi and 80 psi.

Is this domestic water purification system suitable for well water?

This whole house water purification system can filter both city water and well water. However, it doesn't filter out viruses and bacteria. For well water, a whole house UV stage (#UVF55FS) is recommended.

Does WGB32B-DS home water filtration system work on hot water?

No, we do not recommend installing a water filter for home to filter hot water as the high temperature can damage the carbon block filter. The operating temperature for the whole house system is 40 - 100°F.
