Smart Connectivity & Features Guide
This guide explains how to connect your iSpring smart device to your online account and how to use the web portal after the device is connected.
Guide Overview
This guide has two main parts:
- Connectivity - how to connect your device and how to return to the portal later.
- Features Guide - how to use the main pages and features in the web portal.
Part 1: Connectivity
Connectivity means linking your physical iSpring smart device to your online customer account.
What You Need Before You Start
Before connecting your device, make sure you have:
- Your iSpring smart device.
- The QR code on the device label.
- A phone or computer with internet access.
- Access to your iSpring online store customer account.
- A working device power and network setup, if your model requires it.
If your phone can scan QR codes, the setup process is usually easier on mobile.
First-Time Binding Flow
Use this flow when your device does not have an owner yet. This is the most common situation when you just received a new device.
Step 1: Start Device Binding
There are two ways to start device binding.
Option A: Scan the device QR code directly
Use your phone camera or browser QR scanner to scan the QR code on the device label. The QR code will open the binding page automatically and start checking the device.
Option B: Start from My Devices
You can also start from the web portal. To open the portal, go to the iSpring online store menu and choose:
Support -> My Devices
Then start binding from the device list.
- Open My Devices.
- Tap Bind New Device.
- Tap Scan QR Code.
- Point your camera at the QR code on the device label.
If live camera scanning does not work, choose or take a photo of the QR code instead.
Tips:
- Make sure the QR code is clear and well lit.
- Hold the camera steady.
- Scan the QR code on the device label, not a QR code from an unknown source.
If you are not signed in, the portal will ask you to sign in first. After signing in, you will return to the binding flow automatically.
Step 2: Wait For Device Verification
After the QR code is read, the portal checks the device information.
You may see steps such as:
- Checking SN format.
- Looking up product registry.
- Checking account status.
If verification fails, scan the QR code again. If the problem continues, contact support.
Step 3: Add Purchase Information
For a new, unowned device, the portal may ask for purchase information.
You may be asked to enter:
- Purchase channel.
- Purchase date.
- Nickname.
- Address or location information.
This helps keep your device record accurate and easier to recognize later.
Step 4: Confirm Device Connection
After saving the device information, the portal may check whether the device is online.
If the device is not online yet:
- Make sure it is powered on.
- Make sure it is connected as instructed for your model.
- Use Check Again if available.
Step 5: Finish Setup
When setup is complete, you can open the device dashboard or go back to your device list.
Returning To The Portal Later
After your device is connected, you can return to the portal whenever you want to view data or manage your device.
Option 1: Use The Store Menu
Open the iSpring online store and choose:
Support -> My Devices
This opens the web portal and shows your connected devices.
Option 2: Scan The Device QR Code Again
You can scan the device QR code again.
If the device is already connected to your account, the portal will recognize your access and show the correct device status.
If the device belongs to another account, you may see options to request access.
If The Device Already Has An Owner
If a device is already owned by another account, you may not be able to add it directly.
Depending on the situation, the portal may let you:
- Request co-owner access.
- Request to become the new owner.
Follow the message shown on the screen.
Part 2: Features Guide
After your device is connected, use the web portal to view information, check usage, manage filters, and control account access.
Some features may only appear for supported device models or for accounts with the correct permission.

- Co-Owner - A trusted account that has been granted access.
- No Access - An account that cannot view or control the device.

Depending on your role, you may be able to:

- Transfer ownership.
- Remove your own access.
- Disable or enable a co-owner.
- Request to become a co-owner.
- Request to become the new owner.
For security, some actions may require scanning the device QR code again.
Common Questions
What if the device is offline?
You can still view some saved information, but live data and remote actions may not be available until the device comes back online.
What if the QR code does not work?
Try scanning again in better lighting. If live scanning does not work, use the photo option. If it still fails, contact support.
Why do I see "No Device Access"?
This means your account does not currently have permission to view that device. Contact the owner or request access if the option is available.
Why did a remote action fail?
The device may be offline, busy, or unable to accept the command at that time. Wait a moment and try again.
Privacy And Security
For your protection:
- Do not share your customer account.

- Only grant access to trusted people.
